How You Can Help

Call (805)  544-9313 if you are interested in donating your time to any of the following activities:

Staff the Phones
Can you spare a few daytime hours once a week to lend a listening ear? Training is provided to help you be a sympathetic, nonjudgmental resource for the many people who call requesting our help.

Court Watch
Do you have time to go to court with our clients? You would sit in the courtrooms and observe family law cases for us. We provide training and the observation form needed to help us tabulate instances of bias in how the courts treat people handling cases without an attorney to assist them.

Organize
Do you like organizing? Help us plan and produce special events, such as seminars, Day With Creative Women, fundraisers, and the like.

Manage the Office

Are you willing to donate 2 hours of your day 5 days a week and accept only the “pay’ of free coffee, a few pieces of chocolate, and the satisfaction of knowing you may have made a difference in a woman’s life?   You would be offering a sympathetic ear to callers, checking the log for any unfinished business, making follow-up phone calls.

Help with Scheduling our BETTER Supervised Visitation Program.

We’re looking for someone to help us schedule visits for non-custodial parents who, by court order, must have a supervisor present when visiting with their minor children.  Lot’s of phone work, but this is a worthwhile activity!

Help With the Women’s Press
The paper can always use new writers and reporters and persons willing to distribute the paper every two months or find more advertisers.
